Jaylen: Yes. Mommy, I have bubbles in my cheeks.

Jaylen: “You like songs?”
Me: “Yes, I like songs.”
Jaylen: “How ’bout …. Twinkle Little Star.”
Me: “Ok”
Jaylen: “Sing Mommy!”
Me: “No, how about you sing,”
Jaylen: “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ….. (and then she sang the rest of the song)”

Jaylen: “Mommy I have two butts!”
Me: “No you have one butt … you have two buttcheeks”
Jaylen (while squeezing the cheeks on her face): “BUTTCHEEKS!!!!!”
Me: “No, those are your FACE cheeks”
Jaylen (while squeezing the cheeks on her face): “FACE CHEEKS!!!!”

Jaylen picks up a lego man (which happened to be Darth Vader and he was missing an arm): “Awwww, what happened Darth Vader??” (she pronounces Vader - Veeeder)

I have a million of these conversations and I really need to write them down because she is hilarious. Last night at dinner she kept saying, “I have two butts! I have two butts!” I was laughing so hard I nearly choked on my food. She’s so silly.

8-21-08 … the only time the kids got the little pool out, but only one of the three rings would blow up, so I guess next year we’ll have to get a new pool.

Jordan is sick. Poor thing. A fever and everything … and she hasn’t had a full week of school yet!

This was more difficult than the smock I made Jaylen. An “easy” pattern isn’t exactly easy. Only I suppose they are referring to it as “easy” for those who are already experienced. Not easy for novices like me.

The elastic was really difficult to do and my hem line is soooo crooked!!! But she LOVES it … she pranced around in it for 2 days telling me that I did such a good job!

Yes, I realize I chopped off the top of her head.

My first sewing machine adventure since the 8th grade! (Which was over 20 years ago! AACK!) I made a smock for Jaylen yesterday from the pattern listed in one of my older posts.
