Jordan’s skirt

August 1st, 2008 by Jen

This was more difficult than the smock I made Jaylen. An “easy” pattern isn’t exactly easy. Only I suppose they are referring to it as “easy” for those who are already experienced. Not easy for novices like me.

The elastic was really difficult to do and my hem line is soooo crooked!!! But she LOVES it … she pranced around in it for 2 days telling me that I did such a good job! :)

Yes, I realize I chopped off the top of her head.

She picked out the fabric herself. :)

A smock for Jaylen

July 22nd, 2008 by Jen

My first sewing machine adventure since the 8th grade! (Which was over 20 years ago! AACK!) I made a smock for Jaylen yesterday from the pattern listed in one of my older posts.

So, yeah, we do have a little fun around here … sometimes … ;)

Jordan must always pose.

They had fun outside with the squirt guns from Grandma Vile.  :) Mostly because there were no neighborhood kids around. :P

Digiscrap Layout #3 . . .

July 15th, 2008 by Jen

So I’ve been collecting digital scrapbooking items for about 2 years now and have made, oh, 3 layouts. I love the kits and other goodies that go along with them. I love drooling over everyone else’s talents! My favorite place to hang out now is http://www.oscraps.com Wow, they have some talented ladies over there!

Today I worked on a premade template. I just added the picture & papers and changed the text. The rest was already done for me. Here is my result:

The rest of my eventual (maybe?) layouts will be going on a separate blog - as well as any sewing adventures I may have. LOL http://scrapnsew.neptunebutterfly.com >> there’s nothing there yet. I’ve been trying to find a good theme to work with.
